The Reno Tahoe Winter Games Coalition is a non-profit corporation dedicated to having Reno-Tahoe become the next North American region selected to host the Olympic Winter Games. The coalition includes board members and volunteers from the public and private sectors of Nevada and California. The organization also brings shorter term economic impact opportunities to the area, including the USATF National Jr. Olympic Cross Country Championships.
Our Speaker: Jon Killoran is the Chief Executive Officer of the Reno Tahoe Winter Games Coalition, with the mission to bring a future Olympic Winter Games back to Reno/Tahoe. Jon has served in this position since February 2009, working with public and private sector leaders from Nevada and California to position our region as a premiere sports destination and bid favorite to host the Games. Before joining the Olympic effort, Jon spent 21-years in Reno’s television news industry. He earned several awards for his work as a sports broadcaster before being promoted to a similarly distinguished stint as news director for KRNV News 4.
