April AMA Luncheon: "Extreme Make-Over": Reno Downtown Edition

Thursday, April 12th, 2007

Wed, April 18, 2007 – 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Harrah’s Reno Convention Center
RSVP online

Much has been said – pro and con – about plans to revitalize downtown Reno.

But what about the marketing aspect?

What’s the vision for downtown re-development? How does the city market the vision to investors and to the community for support? And how do investors then market to their customers. It’s a full circle marketing effort aimed at both B2B and B2C targets.

Join us and hear the vision and the marketing strategy. (And find out why a Portland based developer would buy the old Porsche building, a former drinking water treatment plant next to Idlewild Park and build Arterra in downtown Reno.)

Speakers:

Charles McNeely, Reno City Manager – Charles McNeely has 26 years of executive level management experience and has served as Reno City Manager since 1996. He leads a staff of 1,700 City employees in implementing an annual budget of $319 million. McNeely has a number of significant projects under his belt including the $265 million ReTRAC project, River Walk and the downtown events center.

Chris Nelson, Principal and Co-Founder, Capstone Partners -
Prior to co-founding Capstone Partners, Chris was a Principal of Trammell Crow Company’s Reno, Nevada office where he started his career and lived for 10 years. Chris has personally sourced and directed the development, investment and management of over 5.5 million square feet of commercial and multi-family residential property in the Pacific Northwest and Nevada
