AMA supports the White Ribbon Campaign

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

What is the White Ribbon Campaign (WRC)?
The WRC is the largest effort in the world of men working to end men’s violence against women.

Goals and Focus: What does it mean to wear a white ribbon?
Wearing a white ribbon is a personal pledge never to commit, condone nor remain silent about violence against women.

What happens during White Ribbon Days?
We urge men and boys to wear a ribbon. We encourage men to talk in schools, workplaces, and places of worship about the problem of violence.  This year, Crisis Call Center is working closely with the Reno American Marketing Association, local businesses and other clubs to promote the campaign.

For more information about the campaign, or to get your workplace involved, please contact Allison Edwards at Crisis Call Center: 784-8085

The Legends: One destination. Countless experiences.

If you build it, they will come. And shop. And play. The creation of lifestyle destinations where retail shopping meets entertainment is one of today’s most exciting trends. It’s The Legends at Sparks Marina, and it’s coming soon.

Be an insider! Join us and be the first to hear about the marketing and PR tactics that not only landed one of the largest projects northern Nevada has ever seen but also promises to attract 800,000 new visitors to the area and generate $600 million in taxable sales annually.

How did RED development select Sparks as the home of its next Legends destination retail and entertainment center – only the second of its kind in the world! What plans are in place to fulfill its promises? Hear what’s coming in the next months as RED prepares to launch and market its billion-dollar development.

Our Speaker: Dave Claflin, Vice President Of Marketing, Red Development, LLC

As vice president of marketing for RED Development, LLC, Dave Claflin oversees all marketing efforts for projects in development. Prior to joining the RED team, Dave held other marketing positions and most recently was Managing Partner of his own creative agency in Boulder, Colo. He is definitely outnumbered by his wife, 11-year-old triplets and a 2-year-old – all girls. The Legends is scheduled for Grand Opening in Spring 2009.
